Warren Haynes joins the Dickey Betts Band after being called in to sing backing vocals on a Betts studio session. With Matt Abts on drums and Johnny Neel on keyboards, that band would record "Pattern Disruptive" in 1988 — and the connection would bring Haynes into the Allman Brothers for the 1989 reunion. Sources place the meeting in either 1986 or 1987.
